Description

This creamy garlic chicken pasta is a delicious and hearty meal that combines tender chicken, rich cream, and savory pasta.


Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 pound chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 12 ounces penne pasta
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil and butter in a large deep skillet or Dutch oven over medium heat.
  2. Add the chicken, salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning, then cook until the chicken is lightly golden and nearly cooked through.
  3. Stir in the garlic and cook for about 30 seconds, just until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream, then stir well to combine.
  5. Add the penne pasta and make sure it is mostly submerged in the liquid.
  6. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, then reduce the heat to medium-low.
  7. Cook the pasta for 12 to 15 minutes, stirring often, until the pasta is tender and most of the liquid has reduced.
  8. Turn the heat to low and stir in the Parmesan cheese and mozzarella cheese until melted and smooth.
  9. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
  10. Sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve hot.

  • For a healthier option, you can substitute heavy cream with half-and-half.
