- 1 cup whole milk ricotta cheese
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- Zest of 1 orange
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in ricotta cheese and vanilla extract until combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and orange zest. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, folding gently until just combined.
- Mix in chocolate chips evenly throughout the dough.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto prepared baking sheets about two inches apart.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, until edges are golden but centers remain soft. Cool on the baking sheet for five minutes before transferring to wire racks.

- For an extra touch, try adding chopped nuts or additional citrus zest.
