Description

A hearty breakfast casserole combining eggs, sausage, and cheese.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 lb breakfast sausage (spicy or mild)
  • 6 large eggs
  • 2 cups biscuit mix
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter (for greasing)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the sausage until fully cooked. Set aside.
  3. In a bowl, combine biscuit mix and milk until just mixed.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together eggs, cheddar cheese, and green onions until combined.
  5. Fold the cooked sausage into the egg mixture.
  6. Pour the biscuit batter into a greased baking dish and gently add the sausage and egg mixture on top.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
