Description

A flavorful grilled flank steak topped with a warm garlic butter sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb flank steak
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Begin by selecting a high-quality cut of beef, like picanha or ribeye. Let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes.
  2. Rub both sides of the steak with coarse salt and freshly cracked black pepper.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high, around 400°F.
  4. Place the seasoned steak on the grill or skillet, cooking for about 5-7 minutes per side for medium-rare.
  5. In a small saucepan, melt unsalted butter over low heat, then stir in minced garlic and fresh herbs. Cook until fragrant.
  6. During the last minute of cooking, spoon the warm garlic butter over the steak.
  7. Remove the steak from heat and let it rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing against the grain.

Notes

  • Allowing the steak to reach room temperature before cooking helps it cook more evenly.
  • Adjust cooking time based on your preferred level of doneness.
