Description
These savory pancakes are made with a simple dough of flour and green onions, cooked until golden brown and crispy.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup boiling water
- 1/2 cup finely chopped green onions
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and boiling water until a shaggy dough forms. Knead until smooth and elastic, about 5-10 minutes. Cover with a damp cloth and let it rest for 30 minutes.
- Divide the rested dough into 4 equal portions. Roll out each portion into a thin round on a floured surface.
- Brush each round with vegetable oil and sprinkle with salt and chopped green onions.
- Roll each round into a log, coil it up, and flatten slightly.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat, add oil, and cook each pancake until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Remove from skillet, let drain on paper towels, cut into wedges, and serve hot.
Notes
- These pancakes are best served warm and can be enjoyed with a variety of dipping sauces.
