Delicious chicken lasagna with layers of savory chicken filling, creamy béchamel sauce, and melted cheese.
Ingredients

- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 3 cups milk
- ½ teaspoon nutmeg (optional)
- 9–12 lasagna noodles, cooked according to package instructions
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté onions and garlic until fragrant.
- Add shredded chicken, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Cook for 2–3 minutes and set aside.
- Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir in flour and cook for 1–2 minutes.
- Gradually whisk in milk, cooking until thickened. Season with nutmeg, salt, and pepper.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Spread a thin layer of white sauce on the bottom of a greased baking dish.
- Layer noodles, chicken filling, white sauce, and a sprinkle of mozzarella. Repeat layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with white sauce and remaining mozzarella and Parmesan on top.
- Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake an additional 10–15 minutes until cheese is golden and bubbly.
- Let rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with parsley.
Notes
- Create a one-pot meal by adding spinach or vegetables to the filling.
- Use no-boil lasagna noodles for a quicker assembly.
