Description
A delicious and spicy salmon recipe using gochujang for added flavor.
Ingredients
Scale
- 170 g Salmon fillet (Can be substituted with trout or mackerel)
- 2 tbsp Gochujang (Can be substituted with sriracha for milder heat)
- 1 tbsp Olive oil (Swap for sesame oil for nuttiness)
- 1 tbsp Soy sauce (Tamari can be used as a gluten-free option)
- 1 tsp Honey or sugar (Agave syrup makes a great vegan alternative)
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C). This step is crucial for achieving that irresistible crispiness on the outside of your salmon.
- Mix the marinade in a bowl by combining gochujang, olive oil, soy sauce, and honey or sugar. Stir well until everything is fully blended.
- Coat your salmon fillet generously with the marinade, ensuring every inch is covered.
- Place the marinated salmon in the air fryer basket, ensuring it’s spaced out for even cooking. Cook for approximately 10-12 minutes, until golden and flaky.
- Check the internal temperature using a meat thermometer. It should reach 145°F (63°C) for safe consumption.
- Rest your salmon for a few minutes before serving to allow juices to redistribute.
Notes
- For a milder heat, substitute gochujang with sriracha.
- Allow the salmon to marinate for at least 30 minutes for more intense flavors.
